Nicholas McSwain
Business Manager
Nicholas McSwain was elected as Business Manager in June 2026. He has worked at the City of Columbia for decades. He currently serves as a Crew Leader in the Sewer
Department and represents Sewer/Stormwater workers on the bargaining committee.
Scotty Johnson
President
Scotty Johnson, from Hallsville, has been the chief steward at the City of Columbia for the last five years. He leads negotiations, grievances and labor-management concerns at the City of Columbia. Johnson currently works as a Mechanic II in Fleet Operations at the City. Johnson has deep roots in LiUNA. His grandfather, Floyd Speck, was a member of Local 955 and his
grandmother, Helen Speck, was a member of Local 45.
Brandon Brubaker
Executive Board
Brandon Brubaker works as a Stores Clerk for MU Campus Dining. He is an active steward at MU and has led multiple actions. He has a long career in hospitality and food service.
Shawn Hunt
Recording Secretary
Shawn Hunt, from Hallsville, is a construction laborer and serves as the Recording Secretary for LiUNA Local 955.
Allax Bullock
Executive Board
Allax Bullock has worked for MU as a Custodian and Stores Clerk for years. He currently is a steward at the Student Center.
Darrell Dillon
Vice President
Darrell Dillon was elected as the Chief Steward for MU, MUHC and UMKC in 2026. He leads negotiations, grievances and
labor-management concerns at the UM System. Dillon currently works as a High
Voltage Electrician for Energy Management Operations at MU.
Chris Scott
Executive Board
Chris Scott has worked for the City of Columbia as a Mechanic II in Fleet Operations for over a decade.
Mike Gravitt
Business Agent/Construction
Mike Gravitt, from Macon, has a long career in labor and the fight for working people. Gravitt worked as a Boilermaker for Boilermakers Local 83 for thirteen years before he worked for the City of Columbia in Solid Waste and Fleet Operations, serving as a union steward. He previously worked for Local 955 as a Public Sector organizer handling City of Columbia, Truman State, MFA Feed Mills and the City of Kirksville.
